                A Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 15th day of June.

MOUNTAIN TOP GALS SOFTBALL EQUIPMENT
MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to open an interest bearing account for the $1700 from the insurance company for the Mountain Top Gals softball equipment that burned in the Town hall fire on January 10, 2010, when and if the Mountain Top Gals form then the Town will purchase equipment with the funds, seconded by Thomas Soule, motion was:

RESOLUTION #22

TOWN OF ASHLAND

TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION OF 2010

JUNE 15, 2010

At the Town Board meeting on June 15, 2010, Councilman, Richard E. Tompkins
Offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.

To authorize the Town Supervisor to use the sum of $4,869.60 dollars from the Highway Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance to balance accounts in the General Fund as per General Fund Resolution # 4 of 2010.

In order to adjust the General Budget, the Town Board has increased revenues in the Appropriated Fund Balance Account, and also increased the Appropriation Account for the expense in the amount mentioned above.

A motion to adopt this resolution was made by Councilman, Martin Blanden and seconded by Councilman, Thomas Soule.  Motion Carried.

RESOLUTION #23

TOWN OF ASHLAND

TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION OF 2010

JUNE 15, 2010

AMENDED SEQR NEGATIVE DECLARATION

At the Town Board meeting on June 15, 2010, Councilman, Richard E. Tompkins offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.

WHEREAS, the resolution dated June 2, 2010, the Town designated itself as lead agency for this project; and

WHEREAS;  the Town has conducted a review as required by Article 8, Part 617 of the Environmental conservation Law (SEQR) as documented by the attached Negative Declaration; and

WHEREAS; based on this review, the Town has determined no adverse environmental impacts would result from this action and adopted a resolution for a Negative Declaration on June 2, 2010

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing:

1.             This resolution will take effect immediately.

2.  The Town Board adopts the SEQR Negative Declaration attached hereto.

RESOLUTION #24

TOWN OF ASHLAND

TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION OF 2010

JUNE 15, 2010
SUBJECT TO A PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM TO PURCHASE 17.75 ACRES OF REAL PROPERTY

At the Town Board meeting on June 15, 2010, Deputy Supervisor Robert Ferris offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.

WHEREAS, the Town of Ashland is desirous of purchasing 17.75 from Larry and Donna Tompkins for the purpose of location and construction of a municipal water treatment facility; and
WHEREAS; such real property is a portion of Tax Map Section 93.00-2-11.2, and recorded in a Deed dated November 12, 1986, Liber 622 Page 278.  The Parcel to be acquired is generally bounded on the north and west by the Batavia Kill and is described in a survey by Sibbern Land Surveying dated April 25, 2010 for the sum of $32,000 (Thirty Two Thousand Dollars).

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY

RESOLVED;  that the Town Board of the Town of Ashland hereby authorizes the execution of any and all documents necessary to complete the above-mentioned purchase by the Town of Ashland Deputy Supervisor, and it is further

RESOLVED; that the foregoing resolution is made subject to a permissive referendum and shall become binding within 30 (thirty) days of the date of this resolution unless a petition is filed with Town Clerk, in accordance with New York State Law.

CATSKILLS CYCLING RACE
MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman James Lawrence to support the Catskills Cycle race July 30, 2010-August 1, 2010, seconded by Councilman Thomas Soule, motion was:

HIGHWAY GARAGE PROPOSED ADDITION
The board had a lengthy discussion about the need to add on to the highway department; both plows need to be in as well as the back-hoe, board will table till next month.

SOIL BORINGS

Councilman Thomas Soule is going to talk with Delaware Engineers about the soil borings and get back to the board.

BUILDING CODE OFFICER
The board would like to get together with Tom Cross and discuss getting hours at the town hall, a monthly report and a journal.

Martin Blanden left the meeting at 9:14.

SUPERVISORS MONTHLY REPORT
The board reviewed the supervisor’s monthly report.

TOWN CLERK MONTHLY REPORT
The board reviewed the town clerks monthly report.

REGISTRATION DAY
We will need 2 board of election people for registration day and three for the vote.  Clerk will order a 20x20 tent for registration day and maybe a 20x30 for the day of the vote.

Motion was made by Councilman James Lawrence to close the meeting at 9:35.
