A Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 11980 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 9th day of August.

Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the meeting at 7:30 pm.

COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR
Thomas Lynch from the Ashland Planning Board, stressed that there is little communication with the building inspector Thomas Cross, and would like him to attend there planning board meetings at least once a month. The board would like to be provided with an updated list of the permits issued the prior month and any stop work orders or fines that have been issued. Justine Koehler, Town Clerk will provide the planning board with a monthly list of building inspections and certificates of occupancies, Allan Tavenner said he would set a 101 on SEQRA for the planning board. With all having been heard.
PROPOSED VARIANCE FOR KROM
Matt Krom didn’t show up for a proposed variance for a garage on his property.
ALLAN TAVENNER-WATER UPDATE
Bacterial samples taken confirmed water is not affected by surface streams.
2. DOH-wants additional protection since road not in property acquired now. Wellhead Protection Local Law, draft, set hearing.
Steps to be ready to bid USDA approval required, need:
Certificate of Title
USDA approval of plans-at USDA awaiting review.
Resolution to acquire property.
Timeline going forward:
USDA approval to go to bid (unknown) 1-week

TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION OF 2010
AUGUST 9, 2010
At the Town Board meeting on August 9, 2010, Councilman, Richard E. Tompkins offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.
To authorize the Town Supervisor to expend sum balance of $2,922.08 dollars from the General Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance into the General Fund expense account #1010499 – Town Board Contractual Miscellaneous as per General Fund Resolution # 5.
In order to adjust the General Budget, the Town Board has increased revenues in the Appropriated Fund Balance Account, and also increased the Appropriation Account for the expense in the amount mentioned above.
A motion to adopt this resolution was made by Councilman, James Lawrence and seconded by Councilman, Dennis Mattice.
