Special Town Board Meeting
October 12, 2010

A  Special Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 11980 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 12th day of October.

Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:10 pm.

Board had a lengthy discussion about the building site, NYSEG can’t take wires off Neumeister’s 10 days to 2 weeks, and sewer and water we would like to run along the back of the building, there are roughly 35 parking spots.  The building needs to stay where it’s at with the drawing that Fred brought.  Need to know if we could put the siren on the roof?  The board would like to negotiate with Gallo Construction about the demolition of the slab; maybe the town can save money by doing it ourselves.

MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman James Lawrence to sign the contract with Gallo Construction and the Town of Ashland, to construct the Ashland Municipal Building, seconded by Councilman Thomas Soule, motion was:

Motion was made by Councilman James Lawrence to close the Special Town Board Meeting at 7:03 pm.
