Roof Bids
August 28, 2008

A Special Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 28th day of August 2008.

Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the meeting at 7:35 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance.

OPENING OF SEALED BIDS
Two sealed bids were presented to the board.
Town Clerk opened the first bid from Timothy H. Buckner in the amount of $ 11,874.00.
The second bid was from The Ground Up with two proposals 1) $20,309.00, 2) $23,768.00.  Board would like both bidders to come to the next board meeting on September 8, 2008, one at 7:00 and the other at 7:15.  Board would also like insurance papers for Timothy H. Buckner.

PTA CLIMBING WALL
PTA would like the Town of Ashland to pay for the climbing wall for the picnic on September 19, 2008.  The Board will get back to them at the regular Town board meeting on September 8, 2008.  Supervisor Richard Tompkins will check to see if board put it in the budget.

RESOLUTION #23

TOWN OF ASHLAND

TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION OF 2008

AUGUST 28, 2008

At the Town Board meeting on August 28, 2008, Councilman, Richard E. Tompkins, offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.

WHEREAS; the Town Board of the Town of Ashland is aware of the need for upgrades in office equipment within the Town Justice Department; and

WHEREAS; the Office of Court Administration (OCA) has developed a grant program designed to assist in the funding of such upgrades, and

WHEREAS; the Town Board of the Town of Ashland desires to participate in the said OCA grant program to obtain funding for such upgrades.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the Town Board of the Town of Ashland hereby authorizes the Town Court Clerk or her designee(s), to complete a grant application and to provide any necessary information in conjunction with such application to the Office of Court Administration.

A motion was offered from James Lawrence with a second from Wanda Partridge to adopt this resolution.  Motion carried.
