SPEACIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
May 7, 2008
A Town Board meeting was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 7th day of May 2008.

Attended by: Assembly man Peter Lopez, David S.Warne-Assistant Commissioner DEP, Paul Rush, Jeffrey D.Graf-Chief DEP
The Board met with the following people to discuss different avenues for funding for a sewer and or water treatment for the Town of Ashland. Possible small cities grant $400,000. Lopez to research self help 20 to 30 year 0 % loan.
Good Neighbor Fund-this would be a capital project. Other possible means-Quality Communities funding, Local banks- what % rate, CWC loans-no more grants. Lawrence pointed out that the current water that would go into the wastewater treatment plant would be corrosive? Look for special funding because of this. Board would like to know if water and sewer could be formed together? Pete Lopez to call Mitch Moors at State Comptroller. Supervisor Richard Tompkins is to contact Candince Balmer. All agreed to set up another meeting and meet with DEP, CWC, Planning board, Allan Rosen, Mike Flaherty as well as the board. Pete Lopez to brief Senator Seward and Kirsten Gillibrand
