Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the meeting at 7:48 pm.

REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR DRILLING OF A WATER WELL
The Town of Ashland is requesting bids from all qualified contractors for the following: The drilling of a water well to an approximate depth of 80 feet, with eight-inch casings. Bid specifications are available at the Ashland Town Clerk’s Office. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Bids must be received in the Ashland Town Hall, Main Street, Ashland, NY 12407, no later than 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon on March 3, 2008 and shall be opened at 7:30 o’clock in the afternoon on March 3, 2008 at the Ashland Town Hall.

MOTION-A motion was made by Councilperson Wanda Partridge to accept the bid amount of $12,581.00 from Sherman Well Drilling, seconded by Councilman Martin Blanden, motion was:

PUBLIC HEARING FOR DEWALD VARIANCE
A public hearing for Lawrence & Colette Dewald for a variance will be on March 26, 2008 at 7:30 pm.
PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM FOR PURCHASE OF NEW AMBULANCE
On March 3, 2008 duly adopted a resolution subject to a permissive referendum to expend monies from a capital account fund yet to be established to finance purchase of a new ambulance for the Town in the amount of $165,000. dollars.
MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to adopt a resolution subject to permissive referendum, proposing to establish a Capital Account Fund to finance the purchase of a new ambulance in the amount of $165,000, seconded by Councilperson Wanda Partridge, motion was:
