CHANGE ORDER #8
The soils were disturbed along the northwest corner of the fire district foundation approximately 5.5 feet below the footing.  The sanitary sewer installed under a separate contract was under the foundation of the building.  The utility was relocated but the soils were disturbed and would not support the building without controlling and compacting the disturbed trench.  In order to expedite the procedure the contractor was directed by the Engineer to install flowable fill.

MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman James Lawrence to accept change order #8, flowable fill, seconded by Councilman Thomas Soule, motion was:
ADOPTED:           Aye        3  Tompkins, Lawrence, Soule,
Nay         0

BUILDING DISCUSSION
Fred Grober is waiting to get a price for the floor  on all three areas from Gallo.  The board would like to hard power trowel the whole floor and  the basement and would like to check with the fire commissioners about what they would like.  Board would also like to put drains in the floor and recessed slightly, tile in the bathrooms and the entrance area.  Green board should go on the walls of the fire department side.  Board would like to put drop ceiling in the community room, hallway and offices with offices to be sheet rocked, they need to decide where to put the podium?  Fred is going to send a copy with color drawings for the board to sign off.  The board is asking for a copy of the concrete breaks for the building.  Councilman James Lawrence is going to contact some suppliers for price and options for locks for the new building.  The whole building should be here in 2 weeks, the doors should arrive in 4 weeks, and 22 windows have already arrived.
