Special Town Board Work Meeting
February 21, 2011
A Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 21st day of February 2011.

Supervisor Tompkins opened the meeting at 5:30 pm
He had maps that the Board members needed to look over. The Board had a lengthy discussion regarding the placement of the water tower, at the proper elevation. After looking at all possibilities, Councilman Lawrence agreed to contact Alan to confirm distances, and make sure the locations in mind would meet all standards. They would like to meet with the engineers and make inquiries into the best site, for the elevation needed, they would like to meet and discuss the distances from the Quarry at one site in mind.
BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW APPOINTMENTS
The board discussed finding two people to fill these two vacancies. The first 1st vacancy 2013 and the second 2nd vacancy 2014. They will all make inquiries to find people to fill the vacancies.
GREENE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD APPOINTMENT
MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman James Lawrence to appoint Erik for a Three (3) year term to be the representative from Ashland. This motion was seconded by Councilman Thomas Soule, and seconded by Councilman Lawrence. The motion was:

SUBDIVISION APPLICATION FORM
The form is to be used for the transition between the Planning Board and the Town Office to use in applications of Subdivisions. The Application will help to process all the information needed to approve the subdivisions.
MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman Lawrence, and seconded Councilman Soule to accept the new application form. The motion was adopted:

ASHLAND HAMLET ISSUE
After the Board looked over the maps, the board said based on the color map if it is correct, they concur that the parcel is indeed within the hamlet.
MOTION-A motion was made by Supervisor Richard Tompkins and seconded by Councilman Thomas Soule that the 5.8 and 1.2 are consider to be in the hamlet, based on the color map DEP provided, the motion was:

RESIGNATION FROM COUNCILMAN DENNIS MATTICE
The resignation was read by each Board member.
Board members have tried to contact Dennis, they are sorry he is resigning.
MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman Soule and seconded by Supervisor Tompkins to accept Councilman Dennis Mattices resignation, the motion was:

The Board agreed to have a meeting next Monday February 28, 2011 at 5:00PM.
With no further business, Councilman Lawrence made a motion, seconded by Councilman Soule to close the meeting at 6:25pm.
