SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING A Special Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 17th day of August 2009. Present Absent
No one in attendance The Town of Ashland is accepting sealed bids for a Type III Ambulance. Sealed bids must be received at the Ashland Town Hall Route 23 Ashland, New York no later than 4:00 pm on Monday August 17, 2009 at 7:00 pm. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. OPENING OF BIDS MOTION-A motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to accept the bid from Gorman Emergency Vehicles for $139,900 for the Ambulance, seconded by Councilman Robert Ferris, motion was: Board had a discussion about building extension with the possibility of extending the front of the building to 16 feet so that the Town and the Fire department would have additional room and allow both ambulances to be stored in the same building. Additional cost would be $8-$10 thousand plus the cost of the floor. Would need to check to see if the heating would be adequate as well. The permissive referendum is for no more than $150,000 and would need to make it fit. A variance would be needed as well. Board would like to have Delaware Engineering to take a look, as to not miss anything. Motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to close the meeting at 7:47 pm.
