PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 18th day of June 2008.

Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the meeting at 7:42 PM.

JEFF FLACK GREENE COUNTY SOIL AND WATER
Jeff Flack gave a lengthy discussion about the stream management plan. A committee would be formed to decide which stream areas would be done. There would not be any expense to landowners. By having them do this it is mainly to reduce sediment and erosion.
Councilman Robert Ferris closed the meeting at 8:38 pm.
TOMPKINS VARIANCE
Deputy Supervisor Robert Ferris opened the public hearing for Richard Tompkins variance at 8:50 p.m. Richard Tompkins gave the town clerk his registered receipts he sent out. Tompkins showed the board a sketch of his plans for a proposed single family dwelling that would encroach on the Town of Ashland’s 40-foot setback regulations. Councilman James Lawrence closed the meeting at 8:57pm.
