A Special Town Board Meeting was held at the Town Hall, 12094 Route 23, Ashland, New York on the 27th day of December 2010.

Town Board of the Town of Ashland Notice of Public Hearing
Please take notice that the Town Board of the Town of Ashland finds it necessary to enact a local law (Local Law 2-2010) to address the licensing of dogs in lieu of the State of New York’s recent mandate that dog licensing become a local government function on January 1, 2011. The purpose of this Local Law is to provide for the licensing and identification of dogs, and further regulate the control and protection of the dog population and the protection of person, property, and domestic animals from dogs. Copies of this Law will be made available at the Town Clerks Office during regular business hours.
The date for the public hearing is Monday, December 27 at 4:30PM at the Town of Ashland Town hall, Ashland, New York at which time all interested parties will be given the opportunity to be heard.
