Supervisor Richard Tompkins called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag.

The board was informed that the State requires 35 homes per mile and Mid-Hudson Cablevision offers 20 homes per mile.  In order to be heard, people wanting and or complaining about Mid-Hudson Cablevision they must call them so that there is a record.  Mid-Hudson Cablevision passed out line extension forms for anybody interested in getting Cablevision at there home.
The Town of Ashland can charge anyone with Mid-Hudson Cablevision 5% of their bill and that 5% goes into the General Fund Account for a slush fund to be used later on to buy Cablevision for the outer areas of the town that can not get Cablevision.  Thus bringing down the cost to expand the service area.

Larry DeWald spoke and is very upset with his service; Heather Younes also spoke and is very upset with the service.  She has had many problems with her cable and phone service through Mid-Hudson Cablevision.

James Reynolds would like to set up another meeting in a couple of months and send up a technician to ride around the outlining areas of Ashland to do a survey.  They will call the Town Clerk to set up that appointment.

The Town Board had a lengthily discussion with all that attended.

With all having been heard the public hearing was closed at 8:30 p.m.
