Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the workshop at 6:34 pm.

Motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to close the workshop at 7:03.

NOTICE OF EMERGENCY TOWN BOARD MEETING FOR POTENTIAL UNSAFE BUILDING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a meeting will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Ashland, Greene County, New York at the Town Hall, Ashland, New York on October 27, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the evening to discuss two buildings that could be potentially unsafe.

ALL person’s interested in the matter will be heard at such time and place specified.

Supervisor Richard Tompkins opened the special meeting at 7:03 with the pledge.

MAGUFFIN PROPERTY
Board discussed the unsafe building owned by Maguffin on County Route 10 in Ashland.
Town Attorney Tal Rappleyea to do a bankruptcy search and possible title search.  Town may have to board up the building.

BARN ON ROUTE 23
The barn on route 23 across from the Greene County Highway department needs to be taken down.  At the time of this meeting the owner of the barn has agreed to take down the building.

Motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to close this special meeting at 7:45 pm.

Motion was made by Councilman Robert Ferris to go into executive session at 7:45 for the employment history of a particular person, seconded by Councilman Martin Blanden, motion was:

Board needs to change the public hearing date to November 6, 2008

Motion was made by Councilman Martin Blanden to close the workshop at 8:53 pm.
